How to find SUPER COOL stuff for your Light Table

I am always on the hunt for cool light table stuff! I make a habit of looking closely for something cool anytime I am at a store. I always get questions from members of the Ultimate Light table Guide Facebook group about where this or that is from, when I post light table pictures. So, I thought I would write up a blog post to help everyone to be able to find super cool light table stuff on their own!

Where to Look

There are so many places out there to find great stuff for light table play and learning. I love to look for things at Party City, Spanish Party stores, Big Lots, The Dollar Tree, Michaels, Dollar General, Constructive Playthings, Discount school Supply, Lakeshore, Learning Resources, Garage Sales, Ebay, Goodwill, Target, WalMart, Roylco, and especially my Amazon Store!  Soon, my friend is opening up a custom light table toy store online.  She is working with me on what to make and how it all should be designed!  I will make a big announcement as soon as the online store is open for business! I am testing prototypes for her in the mean time. It is going to be so awesome!

How to Find

You can search websites with terms like acrylic toys, acrylic animals, acrylic seasonal, acrylic shapes, acrylic birds, acrylic "insert specific item you are looking for here",  table scatter, acrylic table scatter, translucent toys, transparent toys, overhead projector manipulatives, overhead projector accessories, acrylic beads, translucent beads, light table toys, light table accessories, light table manipulatives, or go to a specific toy category and just type in acrylic, or transparent, or translucent.  You can do the same if you are in a bead category. I find lots of great items at goodwill and garage sales. Look closely when you are in the Dollar Tree. WalMart, Target, Goodwill, a Garage sale, or any store you are in.  You never know what you will find!
