night time train fun

I picked up this cute little wooden train set with magnetic wooden train at IKEA for $9.95 and tonight we attached some of our LED lights to the train cars for night time train play!!

I made 3 pages of apples in PSP and then printed them, laminated them, and cut the apples out.

I am unable to recall where I printed the "apple picking time" pages from. They were used for pom poms on the site that I found these sheets on. I wanted them to use realiztic looking apples though, so I made them in PSP

LED Magnets

I decided that we needed some lights on our magnet board, so I made some!!

I used these LED lights, magnets, and a hot glue gun!  I make most all of our magnets from cute clip art that I print off the internet and laminate.  Some of them have the word below the picture, some do not. Some are random household objects,  some are food, animals, plants, toys, etc. We also have a magnetic wooden alphabet I made with tree rings from Lakeshore.

Welcome to Waterville

We have had a lot of rain in the past 3 weeks, Over the course of the first very rainy week, we lost all 4 of our outdoor container pond fish. It was very sad for us all, so we are taking a break for fish. I disinfected the sand box that I was using for the fish pond to get it ready to be used to play in again. I have it all set up in our water play area of our outdoor play environment now. Our outdoor water play area is basically a little cove of water tables, a toy kitchen, a sand box and sand table, some shelving, and such. We use each one for something different. I make them into all sorts of water sensory bins. The white shelving is used for science play and also water play, mixing, pouring, sifting, etc.
