I decided to try out the highlighter trick and make some black light water beads with clear water beads with highlighter infused water. It worked!! I love the results!! I made two sensory bottles with two empty plastic Voss water bottles. I used the black light beads, some of the highlighter infused water, some triangle beads, glitter, some of the black light water beads that I made, and cheap walmart hair gel to make one of the sensory bottles. I used dune craft brand slime, some of the highlighter infused water, glitter, and some of the black light water beads I made to make the other sensory bottle. Very cool results!!
*Highlighter infused water is made by breaking open the bottom end of the highlighter, pulling out the ink cartridge, slowly rinsing under running water and squeezing the cartridge into a bowl until the ink is all in the bowl of water. I used a hammer and carefully smacked the bottom end of the highlighter to break it open. Be very careful as to not have plastic pieces flying up to your eyes. Turn your head away and do it down in the sink. Do not hit hard with the hammer. I encourage anyone to use extreme caution when breaking open the highlighters. It takes about 30 minutes to get your highlighter water ready to use.*
